This company helped us do a military move and they went well above and beyond what was expected. All of our belongings were well respected and packed well. They took extra care to wrap every single piece of furniture to ensure they were not damaged during transit. Jaime, Matt, and Cameron were professional, courteous, and friendly while moving my things into my new apartment. They took care when moving things upstairs so as not to damage walls or floors, even around tight corners, and were helpful in arranging things so that I didn't have to rearrange them after they left. I was worried about my animals (dog and cat) with the commotion of moving things in, and in between loads from the truck, they loved on them like their own. I greatly appreciate the service and care, and really appreciate that it took less than a day to get unpacked! Thanks, guys!

NO JOB IS TOO SMALL! My husband and I recently purchased 2 double vanities to replace the old ones in the upstairs bathrooms. They came fully assembled and are HEAVY! Despite the fact that my husband is 6'4" and built like a quarterback - it was questionable as to whether he and his friends could get the vanities upstairs without damaging themselves or the vanities. So we called in Lompoc Van and Storage to help. And boy are we glad we did! They were reasonably priced, their crew was very professional and showed up on time, and they got the job neatly and efficiently done. We are very pleased with their services and will definitely call on them again. [Apparently, they provide all kinds of services in addition to helping folks move their belongings from one property to another! For example, they offer packing services and you can hire them to just move furniture from one room to another. So if you are ever in need of even extra help - give them a call!]

I can’t recommend or say enough good things about this company and the employees! We were making a cross country move and our plans changed on short notice. I called and spoke with Jason (general manager) on Wednesday, he came out for an estimate on Thursday and Joel, Bradley and Felix were there at 8 on Friday to pack and load all of our stuff. We used Vandenberg home and storage for a move of only 20 miles. We decided not to load and unload the same day so we loaded on Monday as we were supposed to close for sure on Tuesday. 3 Packing Tips for Your San Luis Obispo County Move

Lompoc Van & Storage has packed homes on the Central Coast since 1959. In more than 65 years, our family-owned crews have learned what keeps a box safe on the road and easy to carry in the door. Here are three tips to help you pack, whether you do it yourself or work with our crew.

Start early with things you do not use every day. Pack off-season clothes, guest room closets, and holiday decor a few weeks ahead. North County has a dry season from April through November, with big swings between day and night temperatures. Keep candles, vinyl records, and electronics out of hot garages and parked trucks.
Use boxes of the same size, and keep them light. Matching boxes stack tightly in the truck and are easier to carry. This helps on sloped driveways in Atascadero, narrow lanes in Cambria, and downtown San Luis Obispo, where loading often happens in alleys.
Label every box by room and pad your fragile items. If you collect wine from Paso Robles or Edna Valley, use dividers so bottles never touch. Mark fragile boxes clearly so they land in the right room at your new home.
