This company helped us do a military move and they went well above and beyond what was expected. All of our belongings were well respected and packed well. They took extra care to wrap every single piece of furniture to ensure they were not damaged during transit. Lourdes, Joni, and Jaime were very nice to talk to and they were professional the entire two days they packed and loaded. Mark was also very nice when going through the pre-move process. I would recommend this company to anyone in the Lompoc, Vandenberg, and Santa Maria area!

Meagan Simmons 18:52 08/29/26

Jaime, Matt, and Cameron were professional, courteous, and friendly while moving my things into my new apartment. They took care when moving things upstairs so as not to damage walls or floors, even around tight corners, and were helpful in arranging things so that I didn't have to rearrange them after they left. I was worried about my animals (dog and cat) with the commotion of moving things in, and in between loads from the truck, they loved on them like their own. I greatly appreciate the service and care, and really appreciate that it took less than a day to get unpacked! Thanks, guys!

Debby Murray 17:46 08/06/26

NO JOB IS TOO SMALL! My husband and I recently purchased 2 double vanities to replace the old ones in the upstairs bathrooms. They came fully assembled and are HEAVY! Despite the fact that my husband is 6'4" and built like a quarterback - it was questionable as to whether he and his friends could get the vanities upstairs without damaging themselves or the vanities. So we called in Lompoc Van and Storage to help. And boy are we glad we did! They were reasonably priced, their crew was very professional and showed up on time, and they got the job neatly and efficiently done. We are very pleased with their services and will definitely call on them again. [Apparently, they provide all kinds of services in addition to helping folks move their belongings from one property to another! For example, they offer packing services and you can hire them to just move furniture from one room to another. So if you are ever in need of even extra help - give them a call!]

We used Vandenberg home and storage for a move of only 20 miles. We decided not to load and unload the same day so we loaded on Monday as we were supposed to close for sure on Tuesday. Well Tuesday became Wednesday, then Thursday and then it finally happened on Friday. Jason at the office was a pleasure to work with. He totally understood and was more than willing to work with us. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciated his attitude during this very difficult time. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!! Thanks so much Jason and everyone at Vandenberg Van and Storage.

Lompoc: The City of Arts and Flowers

If you are moving to Lompoc, California, be prepared to see colorful streets and beautiful floral scenery. Lompoc has earned the nickname “City of Arts and Flowers” for its mix of unique art and flowers.

A City Painted by Local Artists

Downtown Lompoc is home to more than 60 murals painted by local artists. Ordinary building walls turned into an open-air gallery. Many of the murals tell the story of the city of Lompoc itself. This includes pieces that trace back to Lompoc’s agricultural roots. The art is one of the first things new residents witness when settling down in Lompoc. Prepare to learn about the city’s rich history through its art.

A Valley Built on Flowers

Flowers in Lompoc are another integral part of the city’s identity. The flower industry in the Lompoc Valley has been alive for well over a century. Locally grown seeds were sold worldwide, which earned Lompoc the nickname “Flower Seed Capital of the World.” The Lompoc Valley Flower Festival began in 1952 and is held annually at Ryon Memorial Park on the last full weekend in June. It features a parade, live entertainment, food, arts and crafts, and a flower show.

Your New Home Awaits

Whatever brings you to Lompoc, a long-distance move goes smoother when you understand where you are landing. Between the murals waiting to be discovered and a flower festival that has brought the community together for generations, Lompoc offers new residents a lot to look forward to once the truck is unloaded.

The duration of a long-distance move depends on several factors, including the distance traveled, the size of your furnishings, and the time of year. Typically, a cross-country move can take a few days to a couple of weeks. According to Moving APT, “National movers can take anywhere from 2 to 22 days to deliver items depending on your specific move, so be patient and make sure that you have reviewed all documentation pertaining to deliveries.”

Our experienced team will provide you with a clear timeline based on your move details, so you know what to expect every step of the way. As an independent moving company, meaning we are not part of a van line, we take one truck and one team on your move rather than switching trucks halfway through like agents of a van line do. “We aim to complete your move as quickly and smoothly as possible without compromising service quality,” states Owner Chris DiJulio.

The cost of a long-distance move can vary widely depending on factors such as travel distance, the weight of your items, and any moving or storage services you add. According to FINE Magazine, “The average cost of long-distance movers in California is around $4,890 for a two to three-bedroom move of approximately 7,500 pounds with a distance of 1,000 miles.”

Our long-distance moves start at $1000. Our comprehensive estimates include all potential costs, so you know exactly what to expect. “We pride ourselves on transparency and will work with you to find the best solution for your budget,” says Owner Chris DiJulio, who has over 55 years of experience in the moving industry.
